Apple Pie Muffins (Apple Crumble Muffins)

Today we're making Apple Crumble Muffins filled with apple pie filling and topped with streusel and a vanilla glaze.

All-purpose flour Baking powder Salt Ground nutmeg Ground cinnamon Eggs Granulated sugar

Preheat the oven to 400° F (204° C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Then add the small pieces of cold butter, and mix with your fingers.

In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. In another bowl, mix together the wet ingredients. 

Mix in the flour mixture into the batter until homogeneous and thick. Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin, filling halfway.

Add a tablespoon of the filling, plus another layer of the muffin batter. Finally top the muffins with crumble.
