WHAT IS PANETTONE BREAD?

– Lukewarm water – Instant yeast – All-purpose flour – Lukewarm whole milk – Vanilla extract – Tightly packed orange zest

In the bowl of a stand mixer, whisk together lukewarm water with the yeast until dissolved. Add the flour.

Using the paddle attachment, beat at low speed until a stiff dough forms. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm, draft-free place.

Then add flour, granulated sugar, and salt to the yeast mixture.

Add eggs, lukewarm milk, vanilla, and orange zest. Beat everything at low speed until a shaggy dough forms.
