Cream Cheese Fruit Dip (Keto)

Cream Cheese Fruit Dip made with just 5 ingredients in up to 5 minutes. It is creamy, mildly sweet and tangy, and super delish, making a great addition to a snack or a fruit platter. It is healthy (sugar-free, keto, low carb, gluten-free, and high protein) and you can serve it with berries or any seasonal fruit of choice!

Equipment

  • 1 bowl
  • 1 electric hand mixer

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese at room temperature or softened
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ¾ cup sugar-free powdered sweetener like Confectioner’s Swerve or Erythritol (or powdered sugar if you’re not on a low-carb diet). Do not use granulated sweeteners because they will make the dip gritty!
  • 1 lime first zest the lime and add to the dip and then squeeze the juice.

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, add the heavy cream and whip with an electric mixer until soft peak forms. Reserve!
  • In another large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese, yogurt, and sweetener, beating on low speed until creamy and homogeneous.
  • Add the lime juice and beat until combined. Mix in the lime zest and then gently fold the reserved whipped heavy cream until fully combined and fluffy.
  • Cover and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving with your favorite low-carb fruits (berries).
  • Serve it with your favorite berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries)

Recipe Notes

Storage
Store this keto cream cheese fruit dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
I do not recommend freezing it as it won't be as creamy, fluffy, and smooth when thawing.

How to Soften Cream Cheese
If you forgot to remove your cream cheese out of the fridge 20-30 minutes before making this creamy fruit dip, don't worry! Here are a few tips to soften it quickly:
  • Remove the cream cheese out of the package, cut it up into cubes, and spread them out on a plate, allowing them to sit for 15-20 minutes or until soft.
  • Remove the cream cheese from the box but leave it in the foil packaging and then place it into a bowl with warm water (not boiling) for a few minutes.
  • Take the cream cheese out of all the packaging, cut it into chunks,  and microwave in a bowl for 10 seconds at a time, flipping it over between each session, or until softened. It may take about 20-40 seconds depending on the size of the chunks.
