  • 4 ounces ginger root washed and scrubbed with a brush (Or wash it to remove most of the dirt and then peel it), or fresh turmeric root for a variation of this recipe. ABOUT 1 cup
  • 1 navel orange either squeezed or use the whole pulp
  • 3 fresh lemons squeezed (or limes)
  • ¾ coconut water or regular water
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey stevia in the raw if you are diabetic, or pure maple syrup for a vegan recipe. I prefer honey because it is a natural prebiotic!
  • 14 fresh mint leaves
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper

  • Place all the ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend it until smooth.
  • Using a strainer, strain the liquid. TIP: You may either discard the solids or transfer them to a freezer bag and freeze them to use later on in juices and smoothies. Then, transfer the liquid to shot bottles and refrigerate them for up to 7 days.
